Stephen Kingsley (born 23 July 1994) is a Scottish professional footballer currently playing as a left back for Scottish Championship club Falkirk.

Career

Falkirk

Kingsley aged 16 made his first team debut on 12 April 2011 as a substitute in Falkirk's 2–1 win over Partick Thistle in the Scottish First Division.[1] In only his second appearance he was sent off for a professional foul on Stirling's Michael Doyle.[2] He made one more league appearance that season. In Season 2011–2012, after playing in the Scottish League Cup against Brechin City, he sustained an injury that was to keep him out for over 3 months. He returned in the starting line up when Falkirk knocked Dundee United out of the Scottish League Cup.

In March 2013, Kingsley signed a new contract with Falkirk, agreeing a deal that ties him to the club until 2015. [3]

International Career

In April 2012 Kingsley was called up to the Scotland under-18 squad for two games against Serbia in Belgrade on the 17th and 19th of the month. He played 90 minutes in the first game, which ended 1–1, and 60 minutes in the second game, where Scotland won 4–1. In season 2012–2013 he appeared for Scotland under-19's against Germany and the Netherlands. He was selected for the squad for the 2014 UEFA European Under-19 Football Championship qualification matches in October, playing in the third game against Switzerland. This was followed in March with an appearance in the friendly match against Sweden. In May he played in two of the Elite qualifying round games against Belgium against the host country and Georgia.
