Stephen Hendrie (born 8 January 1995)[1] is a Scottish professional footballer who plays for Hamilton Academical, as a left back.

Career

Club career

He made his club debut on 23 July 2011 in the Scottish Challenge Cup,[2] before making his Scottish Football League debut two weeks later.[3] At the end of the 2011–12 season, his first with the club's senior team, Hendrie described his year as a "dream."[4] Hendrie described the next season, the 2012–13 season, as "[not] my best season" due to injuries and subsequent lack of playing time.[5]

International career

Hendrie received his first international call up, to the Scotland under-17 squad on 12 October 2011.[6]

In May 2012, Hendrie was called up to the Scottish under-20 squad for a youth tournament in the Netherlands,[7] where he appeared in three of the tournament's five matches.[8]
