The position close to the highway and the international railroad underlies the importance of Staro Petrovo Selo in transit tourism. The church of St. Anthony of Padua is an important sacral building.

The nearby Požeška Gora mountain north of the village provides hiking and (partly) hunting opportunities while the swampy Crnac field and the Sava river, lying more to the south, offer fishing opportunities.
