Starlink Aviation is a Canadian fixed base operator, passenger and charter airline. It is based at the Montréal-Pierre Elliott Trudeau International Airport in Montreal. Starlink is primarily a charter carrier, but also operates a small fleet of turboprop aircraft on scheduled "Corporate Shuttle" routes in Eastern Canada. Between February and November 2009 the company operated two daily flights between Portland, Maine, Yarmouth, Nova Scotia and Halifax, Nova Scotia. On December 1, 2009, service ceased due to depletion of the Air Service Fund.

History

Starlink Aviation was founded as a Fixed Base Operator at the Montreal airport in 1982. The company acquired a fleet of jet and turboprop aircraft, and began leasing them as charter aircraft for private clients. The company also began a scheduled "corporate shuttle" service from Montreal with its BAe Jetstream 31 aircraft to the cities of Alma and Bagotville in Quebec, Canada. In April 2008, Starlink announced a partnership with the American fractional jet company Flight Options to form "Flight Options Canada," expanding the charter networks of both companies.[1] In January 2009, service by Starlink Airlines between Yarmouth, Nova Scotia, Halifax, Nova Scotia, and Portland, Maine was announced, with two flights daily, beginning February 4 of the same year.[2]

Fleet

As of October 2013 Starlink operated a fleet of 12 aircraft.
