Historic buildings
The town has two historic buildings:
- The Town Office Building was constructed between 1919 and 1920 for the Bank of Commerce; the building currently houses a library.[5]
- The Star City Echo once a newspaper headquarters, now transformed into a residence.
- The Brigham Block has recently been removed from main street due to structural integrity concerns. Named after Dr. Brigham, a local physician during the pre-depression era, it has through the years been a home to many businesses such as Haggstroms Grocery, Five Star, (a convenience/ grocery store) auction mart, and pool hall. It is best remembered for its peculiar finish, consisting of concrete mixed with colorful shattered glass.
