Stacy Edwards (born March 4, 1965) is an American actress.

Biography

Stacy Edwards was born in Glasgow, Montana, the daughter of Patty and Preston Edwards, who was an Air Force officer.[1] She grew up all over the world, from Guam to Alabama. At 18, she received a scholarship to the Lou Conte Dance Studio in Chicago and began her performance career as a dancer and actress. She portrayed Hayley Benson on NBC daytime drama Santa Barbara from 1986 to 1988. She also had a role on the main cast of the medical drama Chicago Hope as Dr. Lisa Catera for 2 seasons from 1997 to 1999.

In 1998, Edwards appeared as Jennifer Rogers in Mike Nichols' Primary Colors. That big wet smooch between her and Oscar winner Kathy Bates wasn't as effortless as it looks onscreen. Bates, who plays an old friend of and political henchwoman for the presidential candidate, portrayed by John Travolta, was a trifle nervous when it came to filming the scene, according to Edwards. The first time around, Bates gave Edwards, who plays her lesbian lover, a quick peck on the lips. Apparently it was not convincing enough, since director Mike Nichols asked for a couple of retakes. Finally, after Bates and Edwards exchanged a long, romantic kiss, Edwards responded dreamily, "Kathy, that was so good!" Everyone laughed, the tension was broken, and they were able to get on with making the movie.[2]

She appeared in an episode of The Mentalist (CBS) that aired September 30, 2010 and recently in a commercial for Bank of America.[3][1] She also guest starred on The Lying Game for a couple of episodes as Annie Hobbs and appeared on the seventeenth episode of the first season in the series Hawaii Five-0 as Mrs. Brown.

Edwards has been married to Eddie Bowz since 1996. Bowz is also an actor; they met when working together on the movie The Fear.
