Stabekk Station (Norwegian: Stabekk stasjon) is a railway station located at Stabekk in Bærum, Norway on Drammenbanen. The station is served by the Oslo Commuter Rail line 400 operated by the Norwegian State Railways with two hourly services.

History

The railway has had a major impact on the Stabekk area. During the building of Drammen Line in 1870 to 1872 the railway company bought the areas around the line from the farms, and after the right-of-way had been determined, the unused lots were sold to the railways employees. Especially the lots a distance away from the line were cheap. This way the railway ensured a population to support the demand for transport with the line.

The station was first opened in 1884, and the current station building dates to 1902. Eventually the area around grew with stores and post office to a centre.
