Stephanie Montreux is an Australian actress and lyric soprano, with a vocal range of over 3½ octaves.[citation needed]

Life and career

Montreux was born in Melbourne, Australia.[citation needed] In concert, Montreux's roles have included Christine Daaé (The Phantom of the Opera), Rose Vibert (Aspects of Love), Betty Schaefer (Sunset Boulevard), Soprano (Requiem), Johanna ("(Sweeney Todd), Maria (West Side Story) and Rapunzel (Into the Woods).

Montreux played Anne Haycock in the television series Psychic Private Eyes and herself in a BBC London Musical Theatre special. Montreux has also been interviewed and performed live for Shanghai Radio, and was a performer in the 2006 Royal Variety Performance at the London Coliseum. In April 2007, Montreux appeared in Pegasus Opera Company's production of Delius' Koanga at Sadler's Wells Theatre to mark the 200th anniversary of the abolition of the slave trade in Britain. In 2008, Montreux was a member of the West End Chorus for Chess at the Royal Albert Hall, also starring Josh Groban, Idina Menzel, Adam Pascal, Marti Pellow and Kerry Ellis.

Montreux has synesthesia and has been the subject of radio and television documentaries on the condition.[citation needed]
