Biography and career
Stéphane Nikiéma is surely the Foot & Fist European boxer whose longevity in the ring is the greatest. Indeed, this great champion, author of anthology fights, pure nak muay, fought for nearly seventeen years worldwide. Which earned him high regard from the boxers especially in Thailand where he is hugely respected. He was nicknamed "Diesel Black" by the Thais who have assigned this name of fighting because of its size and its technical mastery of knee strikes. Fight was for Lumpinee Stadium title (-67 kg). In the third round, the Thai is completely overwhelmed at the edge of the KO but to everyone's surprise, the referee intervenes before the French and stops the fight. The two boxers in each expect their corners, we think that will be counted or Neungtrakan arrested after what he has just received unthinkable but the referee finally stopped the fight. No loser or winner. |
