Srikanth Kidambi
Srikanth Kidambi (also known as K. Srikanth, born 7 February 1993) is an Indian badminton player. He trains at Gopichand Badminton Academy and is sponsored by Li-Ning.
Career
K. Srikanth placed ninth in the Badminton Junior World Championships 2011 in men's singles. National in 2011, he won the men's doubles at the Junior. In adults, he won bronze in men's singles in 2012. In the 2012 Macau Open Grand Prix Gold he was also third parties like the 2012 Bahrain International and 2012 India International. In the same year he won the 2012 Maldives International. In 2013, he won the Thailand Open after beating Boonsak Ponsana. He reached the final of the 2014 India Open Grand Prix Gold and finished as runner-up after losing to Xue Song.
In the Indian Badminton League, Srikanth plays for the Awadhe Warriors.K Srikanth won the national senior men s title in 2013
Personal
Kidambi was born in Andhra Pradesh and his full name is Srikanth Nammalwar Kidambi. His brother K. Nandagopal is also a badminton player.[1]
