Squirrel Hill, Philadelphia

Squirrel Hill is a neighborhood in West Philadelphia, south of Baltimore Ave and west of Clark Park.[1] It shares a border with the Spruce Hill and Cedar Park neighborhoods. By some accounts, this neighborhood is within the boundaries of the University City district.[2]

Squirrel Hill has the distinction of operating its own Police substation staffed entirely by volunteers.[3] "It is estimated that the substation has been responsible for reducing crime in the area by 26 percent."
