Square End Island

Location of King George Island in the South Shetland Islands.

Square End Island (62°10′S 58°59′W / 62.167°S 58.983°W / -62.167; -58.983Coordinates: 62°10′S 58°59′W / 62.167°S 58.983°W / -62.167; -58.983) is a small island 3 nautical miles (6 km) north-northeast of the west tip of King George Island, in the South Shetland Islands. The descriptive name appears to have been applied by DI personnel on the Discovery II who charted the island in 1935.
