The spottail darter (Etheostoma squamiceps) is a small fish in the family Percidae found in the Eastern United States. It is one of the 324 fish species found in Tennessee.[2]
Geographic distribution
Found in the lower Ohio River basin (Green River drainage in Kentucky and Tennessee to Cache River system in Illinois), the lower Wabash River drainage in Indiana and Illinois, and the Red River system (Cumberland River drainage) in Kentucky and Tennessee.[3]
