Sportstar is a weekly sports magazine published in India by the publishers of The Hindu. Its headquarters is in Chennai. The magazine covers sports in India. It also has an extended and lengthy coverage of cricket, the unofficial national sport of India. A sports 'Quiz Corner' is published every alternate week.

Sportstar publishes important, snazzy, controversial sports news from all over the world. Its coverage includes the following on which there is always at least an article or two:

It also done an in-depth, high-quality coverage of special international sports when they happen (e.g., FIFA World Cup, UEFA Euro, Olympics)

It provides a poster of a star sports person every issue.

From the January 28, 2006 issue, the magazine changed its name from The Sportstar to Sportstar and moved from the magazine format to a tabloid one.
