Sport1 is a European sports channel which is currently available in Hungary, Czech Republic, Slovakia and Romania broadcasting in different languages. It currently holds the TV rights to broadcast NFL games in Hungary, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Romania and Moldova.
Romania
In Romania Sport1 holds the rights for NFL, NHL, Ice Hockey World Championship and Heineken Cup.
Sport1 broadcasts only between 10 P.M. and 7 A.M. except for some big events that start earlier, like the NFL playoffs or if the NFL or NHL games go for longer than 7 A.M.
From the NFL, Sport1 broadcasts a late afternoon game and Monday Night Football, every week, half of the Thursday Night Football games, the opening game and all the Thanksgiving Day games. Starting with the 2013 season, sometimes an early afternoon game and/or Sunday Night Football are added to the schedule. The NFL Playoffs are shown with no exception, including the Pro Bowl and the Super Bowl.
All the games are called by Cosmin Petrescu, Emil Hossu-Longin, Robert Cristea and Alex Nastase. The four commentators are highly appreciated for their style, especially for a game that was very little known in Romania before Sport1 started to broadcast, back in 2006.
Czech Republic
In Czech Republic holds the exclusive rights for KHL.
