Sport.ro is a private channel in Romania, launched on July 27, 2003 and dedicated entirely to sports. Sport.ro reaches nearly 64% of the population of 21.5 million inhabitants of Romania[citation needed] and its broadcast schedule contains domestic and international sporting events. Sport.ro is broadcasting 24 hours of 7 days and according to GFK Romania, during January–October 2009, has achieved an average audience of 2.7%.
Sport.ro is targeting urban men between the ages of 18-49 and has a varied program schedule, which combines news, sport shows, enetertainment and the most important sporting competitions in the country and in the world.

"Talk shows: „Information” and „Special” Hosted by Lucian Lipovan, Stefan Beldie, Ioana Cosma and Marius Chican, „Information” and „Special” talk shows present the main events of the day in the smallest detail. Luis Figo, Gheorghe Hagi, Mighty Mo, Daniel Negreanu, Lucian Bute or Zoltan Mesko are just some of the names that were invited in Sport.ro’s studio.
"Sport.ro News " Sport.ro offers to viewers over 3 hours of news every day. Alexandra Derevici, Ramona Păun and Alexandra Tudor come with the latest information in sports, in the three journals - 17:00, 18:00 and 21:00. The concept of the new decor was designed by Janson Design Group in the United States, a company that worked with famed NBC News, Sky News, National Geographic Channel and Pro TV.
"Football at Sport.ro" Sport.ro and Pro TV will broadcast all matches of Romanian teams qualified in Europa League. Sport.ro organized the first skandenberg marathon in Romania - world champion beat more than 100 opponents one after another. Ion Oncescu’s record, the first armwrestler that beat over 100 opponents one after another, this was seen by 89,000 men between 18–49 years. The marathon lasted 4 hours and had luxury guests - Ana Maria Prodan, Local Kombat fighters – Ciprian Sora, Cătălin Moroșanu, Sebastian Ciobanu and Alexandru Lungu. "Handball at Sport.ro" For the first time in history, a Romanian handball team can reach the top 16 in the world. The system changed – for the total of 6 teams, 4 of them are going to be qualified, and handball players from HCM Constanţa have, for the first time ever, a real chance to get out of the EHF Champions League’s groups. The best handball player in the world, Nicola Karabatic plays live on Sport.ro with HCM, but also with the best Romanian handball player, Valentin Ghionea in an encounter Montpellier HB - SC Pick Szeged.
