Spirit gum is an adhesive, made mostly of SD Alcohol 35-A (the solvent, or "spirit") and resin (the adhesive, or "gum"), used primarily for affixing costume prosthetics such as wigs, merkins, or false facial hair. It has been manufactured since the 1890s, and has long been a standard tool in theatrical performances where prosthetic makeup or affixed costuming is used. It has also often been used in burlesque, in affixing pasties.

Spirit Gum is made of toxic materials and is not edible. It can be loosened from the skin (or any other surface) through the use of an acetone-based remover.

Ingredients: Isopropyl Alcohol, Rosin, Copal, & Silica
