Spider Rockets is a hard rock band formed in New Jersey, United States by band members Helena Cos and Johnny Nap.[1][2] They have been compared to such acts as No Doubt, Soundgarden, the Red Hot Chili Peppers, and L7.[1] Originally formed in the late ‘90s, the group has released Flipped Off (2000), which debuted in CMJ's Top 20 radio adds, and Ever After (2007), which debuted in CMJ's Loud Rock adds.[1][3] and the self-titled Spider Rockets (2009).[1][3] Flipped Off, Ever After, and Preview EP were recorded by Martin Bisi (Sonic Youth, Swans, The Dresden Dolls).[1] The self-titled Spider Rockets (2009) was recorded with Eric Rachel (Atreyu, Hatebreed, In This Moment). The band has also toured with Lillian Axe,[4] Pop Evil, performed on The Vans Warped Tour[5] toured with Framing Hanley[6] and performed at the Popkomm Festival in Berlin, Germany.[7][8] Spider Rockets' latest CD entitled Bitten will be released on June 5, 2012.
