Spellbound is a UK a general knowledge game show hosted by Paul Coia on Sky One, during the 1990s.

History

Spellbound was created for Sky One who wanted to actively involve the readers of their Sky Magazine. The magazine included game cards, which viewers could play along with during the TV show. The main part of the show (with studio contestants) was pre-recorded. The Viewer involvement sections were transmitted live as inserts (giving the impression that the whole show was live) The series was one of the first ever UK Live Interactive game shows.

Format

The show had three round of letter games before it was time for Spellbound challenge.
