Speck (cipher)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Speck is a family of lightweight block ciphers publicly released by the NSA in June 2013.[1] Speck has been optimized for performance in software implementations, while its sister algorithm, Simon, has been optimized for hardware implementations. Speck is an Add-Rotate-Xor SPN cipher.
Speck supports the following combinations of block lengths and key lengths:[2]
Block size (bits) | Key sizes (bits) |
---|---|
32 | 64 |
48 | 72, 96 |
64 | 96, 128 |
96 | 96, 144 |
128 | 128, 192, 256 |
