South-Western Administrative Okrug, or Yugo-Zapadny Administrative Okrug (Russian: Юго-Западный административный округ, Yugo-Zapadny administrativny okrug), is one of the twelve administrative okrugs of Moscow, Russia. It was founded in 1991 and has an area of 111.7 square kilometers (43.1 sq mi). Population: 1,362,751 (2010 Census);[1] 1,179,211 (2002 Census).[2]

The okrug encompasses twelve districts:

Economy

Gazprom and the airline Aero Rent have their head offices in Cheryomushki District in the okrug.[3][4] RusHydro has its head office in the Obruchevsky District in the okrug.[5]

Education

The Japanese School in Moscow is in the Lomonosovsky District in the okrug.[6]
