Sorico is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Como in the Italian region Lombardy, located about 80 km north of Milan and about 45 km northeast of Como. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 1,188 and an area of 23.3 km².[1]
The municipality of Sorico contains the frazioni (subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets) Albonico, Bugiallo, and Dascio.
Sorico borders the following municipalities: Dubino, Gera Lario, Montemezzo, Novate Mezzola, Samolaco, Verceia.
