Solakzade Mehmed Hemdemi

Solakzade Mehmed Hemdemi (1592-1658) was a 17th-century Ottoman historian and music composer.[1] He wrote an famous Ottoman history named Tarih-i Solakzade (History of Solakzade). He seems to have been the son of a Solak, a janissary bowman of the sultan's personal guard, and was born in Constantinople.[2]
