Solace is the third album by the New Zealand post-rock band Jakob. It was released in New Zealand on September 11, 2006.
In comparison to the band's earlier albums, which focused more on melody and eeriness, Solace showcases a significant evolution towards a darker, heavier, moodier post-metal sound that is reminiscent of the work of such band as ISIS, Pelican and Cult of Luna.

The first single off the album is Safety in Numbers, which is available for download on the Midium Records MySpace page. A video for the song has been shot by Ed Davis, and is available at his website .
The second single will be Twice As Hard according to New Zealand On Air. This song does not appear on the album. This may be a non-album song, or a mistake on the webpage.
