So Blu is the debut album by American R&B-soul singer-songwriter Blu Cantrell, released in the United States on July 31, 2001 by Arista Records. The album was primarily produced by Chris "Tricky" Stewart, with additional production from Dallas Austin, Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis, Jason Rome, Don Vito, and Olliewood & Scrilla. It debuted at number eight on the U.S. Billboard 200 chart and spawned the number-two hit "Hit 'em Up Style (Oops!)". On August 31, 2001, the RIAA certified the album gold,[2] having sold 601,000 copies in the U.S.[3] The album was also certified Gold by the CRIA in 2001, [4] having sold 50,000 copies in Canada. The song "Swingin'" was covered for the 2008 PlayStation 2 video game Dance Dance Revolution X.
