Smolnica [smɔlˈnit͡sa] is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Rutka-Tartak, within Suwałki County, Podlaskie Voivodeship, in north-eastern Poland, close to the border with Lithuania.[1] It lies approximately 5 kilometres (3 mi) east of Rutka-Tartak, 29 km (18 mi) north of Suwałki, and 136 km (85 mi) north of the regional capital Białystok.
