Slovenian passports are issued to citizens of Slovenia to facilitate international travel. For traveling inside the European Union, Slovenian citizens can use their ID card. The Slovenian ID card is also valid for travel to other former Yugoslav republics: Bosnia and Herzegovina, Macedonia, Montenegro and Serbia. However, passport is required to enter Kosovo.
