Slađan Perić (born April 15, 1982) is a Danish footballer, who plays as a defender for the Danish side FC Vestsjælland.

Playing career

Perić, born in Denmark by Serbian parents,[1] started his career as a youth player in the two Copenhagen-situated clubs B93 and KB. His stay in KB resulted in the club winning the Danish Championship for youth teams in 2000, which draw a lot of attention to the talented team even from abroad. This resulted in Peric being offered a contract from the German Bundesliga club Schalke 04. But the new surroundings proved difficult for the young Dane, who left Gelsenkirchen after two years and returned to Denmark.[1] For a short period he turned his back to the life as a soccer player and concentrated on getting an education. But when his childhood club B93 offered him a contract, soccer again became his main priority. He then played one season in the club and later on joined Herfølge Boldklub. In 2005 Peric signed a contract with Vejle Boldklub,[2] where he made his debut on August 3, 2005 against HIK.
