Sinfonietta (Poulenc)

The Sinfonietta is a work for orchestra by Francis Poulenc. Composed in 1947, it was first given in London on October 24, 1948, under the baton of Roger Désormière. The work, light and full of dance rhythms, is in four movements:

• I. Allegro con fuoco
• II. Molto vivace
• III. Andante cantabile
• IV. Très vite et très gai
