The Sindone Chapel (or Guarini Chapel, Italian: Cappella della Sacra Sindone - Chapel of the Holy Shroud) is a Baroque chapel outside Turin Cathedral, built by the architect Guarino Guarini in Turin Piedmont, Italy at the end of the seventeenth century (1668-1694). In the night between 11 and 12 April 1997 a fire caused by a short circuit in some equipment restoration, heavily damaging the building and the same Holy Shroud is removed from the flames by firefighters smashing the glass case containing the cassette wood and silver, which kept the towel. At the moment it is still subject to restoration.
