Sindkhed Raja is a city and a municipal council in Buldhana district in the Indian state of Maharashtra.

Demographics

As of 2001 India census,[1] Sindkhed Raja had a population of 13,940. Males constitute 53% of the population and females 47%. Sindkhed Raja has an average literacy rate of 65%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 75%, and female literacy is 54%. In Sindkhed Raja, 14% of the population is under 6 years of age.Sindkhed raja 75% population work in farmer all the community is together.

Office of Sub-Divisional Officer (Revenue)

Government of Maharashtra has reorganized Revenue Sub-Divisions in the state. As a result, new Sub-Division has been formed with headquarters at Sindkhed Raja. Its jurisdiction includes Sindkhed Raja and Deulgaon Raja Tahsils. The office was inaugurated by the guardian Minister Mr. Hasan Mushrif on 15 August 2013. Dr. Vivek Ghodke is the first Sub-Divisional Magistrate of Sindkhed Raja.

Birthplace of Jijamata

Sindkhed Raja is the birthplace of Jijabai, mother of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj.
