Simon Williams (born 1973) in Auckland, New Zealand was the original bassist and backing vocalist for the band Goldfinger. He and vocalist/guitarist John Feldmann formed the band after meeting at a shoe store they worked at.[1] Williams left the band in 1998 and was replaced by Kelly LeMieux.
Williams is rumored to currently have a career as a music journalist as well as a new band. He remains friends with the band today.
Before forming Goldfinger Simon also played in the American Recording Band "Fudge Factory" and an unsigned LA band "Jagglehead".
He is featured in the music videos for Here In Your Bedroom, Mable, and This Lonely Place. He's seen using a Fender Precision Bass in a sunburst finish with a tortoise shell pickguard.
