Reception

Simon Sez had an extremely negative reception by critics.[1] The New York Times wrote a scathing review, saying that "its plot seems as if it had been fished out of the wastebaskets of writers who have written scores of better examples of the genre dating at least as far back as Dr. No in 1962." but praising Rodman as "inescapably watchable".[2]

Audiences also did not like the movie, which grossed only $292,152 in theaters,[3] and is currently ranked 82nd at the IMDB's Bottom 100.[4] It currently has a 0% on Rotten Tomatoes based on 19 reviews. Rodman was nominated for a Golden Raspberry Award as Worst New Star of the Decade.
