Simon Blanckley

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Simon Blanckley is a British racing driver from Durham and former driver in the British Touring Car Championship.[1] He began racing in 2002, having been a racing fan for a long time[2]

2007 was his only BTCC season, having sold his house to fund the move.[3] He raced an ex Team Halfords Honda Integra under the banner of Sibsport, working with former Independent Champion team owner Graham Hathaway.[4] They scored a point at Rockingham.[5] At Oulton Park he missed race 3 due to accident damage sustained during race 2.[6] At Donington Park he had pace but no results.[7] Before round 8 the team pulled out, due to Blanckley's work commitments.
