The Silver City Casino was a casino on the Las Vegas Strip in Winchester, Nevada. It was opened in 1974. Real estate tycoon Luke Brugnara purchased the casino property in 1999[1] and converted it into a strip shopping center in 2004. Silver City became Southern Nevada's first smoke free casino in 1991.[2]
Closing in 1999
In 1999, Circus Circus Enterprises announced that the Silver City Casino would be closed on October 31, 1999. It was a successful casino, but was on rented property. Circus Circus Enterprises was evicted by The Landlord, United Holdings of California and a total of 150 workers lost their jobs.
