Significance, established in 2004, is a bimonthly magazine published by Wiley-Blackwell on behalf of the Royal Statistical Society and the American Statistical Association.[1] It publishes articles on topics of statistical interest presented at a level suited for a general audience. It is not a research journal and articles are not peer reviewed.[2] The founding editor-in-chief was Helen Joyce.[3] The current editor is Julian Champkin. Significance replaced the Royal Statistical Society's journal, The Statistician.[4]

As well as ordinary articles in the magazine, additional "virtual issues" (collections of articles on a particular subject area) are made available online."Virtual issues". Significance. Wiley-Blackwell. Retrieved 2010-07-15. </ref>

Members of both the Royal Statistical Society and the American Statistical Association receive Significance.[1]
