Sid Makkar

Sid Makkar is a Mumbai based actor. He has appeared in film, theatre and television in leading parts as well as character parts. His latest role was in The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel, directed by John Madden where he acted with Judi Dench and Dev Patel. He has also acted in the Australian film Save Your Legs!.

In Turning 30, a Prakash Jha production he played the lead and the love interest of Gul Panag's character. His previous films Dus Tola with Manoj Bajpai, Straight with Vinay Pathak, Luck by Chance with Farhan Akhtar shows that he prefers picking parts in international films or content driven, out of the box films.

Besides film he is active on the theatre scene having worked in a number of plays (Hindi and English) as well as India's biggest Broadway style musical Zangoora at the Kingdom of Dreams theatre in Gurgaon where he played the protagonist.
