Siam Center (Thai: สยามเซนเตอร์) is a shopping center in Bangkok, Thailand. It was opened in 1973 and includes a wide range of concept shops. It is also a centre for digital multimedia innovations where the latest in the world’s technology are brought together to complement the design, interior decoration and functionality of Siam Center. Siam Center offers visitors the opportunity to get an experience of cutting-edge technology. Siam Center is also revolutionizing the shopping sector with the close collaboration forged with retailers and owners of premium brands in order to make all stores in the building consistent in character and respond to shoppers’ expectations in the same way.

Floor Plan

  • Floor 1: Fashion Avenue. It includes flagship stores of globally famous brands. They will be spacious and decorated in a free-form look that is easy on the eye with their storefronts using curved or angled glass, or clear acrylic.
  • Floor 2: Fashion Galleria. This floor houses international brands for clothing, accessories, and cosmetics. It has the look of a concept shop where all stores are decorated in ultra-modern style and with black and white tones predominant to make them striking and unique.
  • Floor 3: Fashion Visionary. This floor has the most comprehensive range of Thai designer brands in the country. All designers agreed to give their outlets a whole new design and decoration. The floor is decorated with an organic look, using wood, steel and copper.
  • Floor 4: Food Factory. This floor has international restaurants and food shops offering a wide range of dishes in an original, industrial style environment. Service hours are until midnight.

History

Siam Center was built in 1973 and was one of Bangkok's first shopping malls. It has undergone renovation several times, including after a fire in 1995. The last renovation featured a concept of "Magical Glass Box" and gave the four-storey mall a new food court and a market position as a "fashion center" for teenagers. In January 11, 2013, Siam Center established the new phase and re-branding itself as Siam Center: The Ideaopolis or Absolute Siam Center.

Siam Center: The Ideaopolis

Siam Piwat invests 1,000 million Baht in common facilities and infrastructure, while retailers invest over 800 million Baht on custom designed outlets exclusive to Siam Center. An arena of ideas, where art, fashion, technology, lifestyle and entertainment collide to create the unexpected and where the appeal of the location’s offerings rises above all differences of gender, age, and taste.
