Amanda Hardy (born September 23, 1982 in Armstrong, British Columbia, Canada), better known by the stage name Shyla Stylez,[3] is a Canadian pornographic actress.

Early life

She was interested in entering pornography in her teens. She moved to Vancouver and worked as both a stripper and a webcam model, in addition to appearing in nude pictorials. In her off-time, she would contact studios by e-mail and phone to find out how to appear in movies.[4]

Career

She credits Erik Everhard with being the person to formally introduce her to the business.[5] She appeared in her first film, Slap Happy by Anabolic Video, in 2000 at the age of 18. She signed an exclusive relationship with Jill Kelly Productions in 2002, and she would later marry their CEO, Bob Friedland, in 2002.[6] They divorced in 2003.

Controversy

Stylez was involved in a sex scandal with former Orange County assistant-sheriff George Jaramillo, where she was noted as having had several sexual encounters with him.[3]

Other work

Stylez hosted the Los Angeles independent TV show Un-Wired TV in 2007.[7][8]

In 2010, she was named by Maxim as one of the 12 top female stars in porn.[9]
