Shulaibao

Shulaibao of Chinese culture, also known as Doggerel, Jingle and Clever Tongue, is a unique form of performing folk art. Shulaibao is usually carried out by one person alone or by two jointly. The performer(s) tells a story whose contents can be pre-prepared or improvised. By controlling the number of words in each sentence, using rhythm and humor, the shulaibao artist(s) presents humorous but easy-to-understand verses, to achieve the purpose of amusing the audience.
