Shorkot Tehsil (Urdu: تحصِيل شورکوٹ), is a subdivision (tehsil) of Jhang District in the Punjab province of Pakistan. It is subdivided into 16 Union Councils.[1] The city of Shorkot is the headquarters of the tehsil.
Politics
The Tehsil Nazim of Shorkot is Hashim Ahmad Khan Kamlana. It also has a wide number of union councis namely in the areas of Shorkot City, Haveli Bahadur Shah, Qaim Bharwana, Chaina Wala, Allah Yar Jutta, Shah Sadiq Nihang, Chak No. 485,chak no 481jb bootai wali chak no 478 jb chak no 482 and 480 jb 493(Batianwala),494, 497, 17(Ghagh), Badh Rajbana, Kotla Zareef Khan, Bhangoo, Kaki Nau, Dab Kalan and Binda Surbana, Garh Maharaja.
