Shirur Anantpal is a village and headquarters of Shirur Anantpal Taluka in Latur subdivision of Latur district in the Indian state of Maharashtra.

The village is known for the Anantpal temple and its agricultural lands. The Anantpal Nutan Vidyalaya is the only reputable educational institute in the city.

Demographics

In the 2001 Indian census the village of was reported to have 8,682 inhabitants, with 4,535 males (52.2%) and 4,147 females (47.8%), for a ratio of 914 females per 1000 males.[2]

The family of Ad. Sambhajirao Patil holds a good repute in the village along with the Kulkarnis (founders of the Anantpal Nutan Vidyalaya) who hold a strong social repute in the village.

Infrastructure

Due to poor administration this village has failed to progress in infrastructure and people's standard of living.[citation needed]
