Shimanto (四万十町 Shimanto-chō) is a town located in Takaoka District, Kōchi Prefecture, Japan.
It was formed on March 20, 2006 from the merger of the town of Kubokawa, from Takaoka District, and the towns of Taishō and Towa, both from Hata District.
As of its founding but with 2003 population statistics, the village has an estimated population of 21,024 and a density of 32.7 persons per km². The total area is 642.06 km².
