Shevgaon is a city in Shevgaon tehsil of Ahmednagar in the Indian state of Maharashtra.

Shevgaon was traditionally been "shiv" or boundary between western Maharashtra and Marathwada regions. Many villages of this tehsil were sub-merged into waters of Jayakwadi dam in 1970s. Amarapur 12 km from shevgaon is a birthplace of Bollywood actor Actor Sadhashiv Amarapurkar.

7 km from shevgaon is small village name Ghotan where ancient temple of goddess Kalika is situated.She is worshiped by Kasar samaj. Every year on 10th of Chaitra there is social gathering of all devotees. There are various religious function held and at evening there is Mahaprasad for all devotees.

Avhane - Temple of Ganesh (Nidrista/Sleeping) is very near from Shevgaon. Avhane is 15 km from Shevgaon.
