Sherry Boschert
Sherry Boschert is a reporter and co-founder of the non-profit organization Plug In America and of the San Francisco Electric Vehicle Association. She is the author of the book Plug-in Hybrids: The Cars that Will Recharge America.[1] She is a senior reporter and San Francisco bureau chief of the International Medical News Group, a division of Elsevier, where she has worked since 1991. She has published more than 2,000 articles as a journalist.[2] She has won journalism awards from the American Academy of Dermatology, the National Breast Cancer Awareness Month program, and the New York Press Association.
A 10-year campaign she began with the National Lesbian and Gay Journalists Association successfully persuaded news media companies to offer domestic partner benefits. As an environmentalist, she has been driving an electric car since 2002 and installed solar panels on her home's roof in 1998.[3]
