Sheran Yeini (Hebrew: שרן ייני; born December 8, 1986) is an Israeli footballer who currently plays for Maccabi Tel Aviv and serves as the team captain. Sheran is a one-club man.[1] Throughout his career he played in several defensive positions for Maccabi, including defensive midfielder, right back and centre back.

Club career

On 2012-13 Sheran captained the Maccabi Tel Aviv team that won the Israeli Premier League championship after a ten-year drought.

International career

Sheran made his first international appearance for Israel on 22 March 2013 in the World Cup 2014 qualifier match against Portugal. In that match he successfully guarded Cristiano Ronaldo and was elected as MVP.
