Sheila Macdonald Bird OBE FRSE FRSS is a British statistican. She is a professor at the University of Strathclyde[2] and Programme Leader, at the MRC Biostatistics Unit, Institute of Public Health, Cambridge.
Early life and education
Bird has an MA and a PhD.[3]
Career
Bird works for the Medical Research Council (MRC), as Programme Leader at their Biostatistics Unit in Cambridge.[3]
Bird submitted written evidence to the Home Affairs Select Committee as part of their investigation entitled Drugs: Breaking the Cycle.[3]
Honours and awards
In 2010, she received an OBE for her contribution to social science.[1]
Personal life
She was married to the late Dr. A Graham Bird.[1]
