Imam Abdul Qayum is the Chief Imam of the East London Mosque.[1]

The Sheikh obtained his M.A in Arabic Language from Imam Muhammad ibn Saud Islamic University, Riyadh. He is a former lecturer at the international Islamic University of Malaysia. Currently undertaking his Phd at SOAS, he is a patron of the Richard house children's hospice and supports a number of charities.[2]
