Shayne Hawke (born September 8, 1988)[1] is a Canadian professional wrestler. Hawke is best known for his work with Chikara and International Wrestling Syndicate.
Career
Early career
Hawke made his debut at the age of 14 in August 2003 and has developed his style incorporating both mat based wrestling with martial arts influences. Originally trained by Beef Wellington, Hawke has also trained under the guidance of El Generico and Dru Onyx at the NWA Torture Chamber.[2]
Chikara
Hawke made his Chikara debut in 2007, upon where he was quickly teamed up with Larry Sweeney and Mitch Ryder, as part of The Fabulous Three. After removing Sweeney from the group due to poor performances, the renamed Fabulous Two went on to lose a title bout with the reigning Campeonatos de Parejas, Incoherence, on July 13, 2008 at the New Alhambra Arena in Philadelphia. Prior to the match Ryder declared that Hawke needed a new "Memphis style name" and renamed him Buck Hawke.[3] Sweeney returned to Hawke and Ryder at the last show of 2008,[1] but in early 2009 all three members of the Fabulous Three left Chikara. After spending 19 months away from Chikara, Hawke returned to the promotion on November 20, 2010, in a match, where he was defeated by Dasher Hatfield.[4]
