Shawn James (born September 10, 1983) is an American professional basketball player for Maccabi Tel Aviv of the Israeli Super League. He plays at the power forward and center positions.[1]
College career
James was considered to be one of the best shot blockers in the NCAA, and recently played for Duquesne University and earlier for Northeastern University for his freshman and sophomore campaign, and his 6.53 blocks per game in 2006 set a new NCAA record. His 196 blocks came in just 30 collegiate games in the 2005–06 season.[2] James has five triple doubles in his NCAA career, tying him for third in NCAA history.[3]
